Mathematical Literacy develops the numeracy skills needed for everyday life and work: interpreting tables, graphs and plans, working with finance (budgets, interest, tariffs, tax), measurement, maps and scale, data handling and probability. Unlike Mathematics, Maths Lit is assessed through real-life contexts — a municipal electricity tariff, a bank statement, a building plan — so reading the scenario carefully is half the skill.

The papers below are organised by term with their memorandums where available. When practising, focus on showing the units and steps of every calculation: Maths Lit memos award marks for method and correct rounding, and most lost marks come from skipping steps or ignoring units rather than from wrong mathematics.
