Functions

Functions are the backbone of Paper 1: straight lines, parabolas, hyperbolas, exponential graphs and, in Grade 12, inverses and logarithms. Examiners recycle the same question types — sketch the graph, find intercepts and turning points, read off values, interpret transformations — so every past paper you write makes the next one more familiar. Aim to know each function family's shape, intercepts, asymptotes and symmetry without hesitation.
